Abundance on tap.

Anyone else sick of the elitist BS that gets marketed, pushed out, and designed to keep a few in and the rest out?

Yes? No?

Well, I very much am. And far too many times, I’ve felt that dreadful sense of lack that stops you in your tracks and keeps you stuck and small. I was over it.

So the journey began. I had just turned 40. I was starting to build Chasing Lions. I was intentionally working with my home to attract more of the energy we wanted in our life. And then I signed up for my first half marathon.

Here’s what I learned: abundance is on tap.

You don’t need money to move your body.
You don’t need more stuff in your home or a renovation project to create an environment that feels supportive, loving, and fortunate.
And if you get lost, you might just find something you’ve been longing for — something that was right under your nose all along.

This whole thing was a lesson in reprogramming consumer culture, realizing my body is a guide, and waking the f*ck up.

Running again taught me that I’m mentally and physically stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. For so many years, my identity was tied to being a tired mom and a yogi. But after a long, long, LONG shoulder injury, I had to release yoga and find a new way to move.

Inspired by my cousin (a fellow tired mom who’s run seven marathons and was launching a running coaching biz), I laced up my shoes. Now I run 8+ miles on the regular — something past-me would’ve never believed — and I’m training for my first marathon this November.

Besides buying proper running shoes, the only real investment I’ve made is time. And now, that time is my meditation time. It’s where I get my best ideas.

Creatives need downtime to think. So running has become a triple threat: movement, meditation, ideation.

When I started studying feng shui, of course I started with my own space.
And here’s the thing most people don’t get about feng shui: a huge part of it is practical.

Fixing light bulbs. Oiling squeaky doors. Patching the damn hole in our garage ceiling. These were the projects that got our energy moving again.

With my growing feng shui toolkit, I started editing out anything in our home that felt like it was struggling or unloved. I moved what we wanted to keep — furniture, art, meaningful items — into spots that made more sense.

We bought some incense, a few crystals, and a couple of symbolic pieces to set intentions. Minimal investment. We used what we already had: decorations, linens, furniture from my commercial furniture days, and things that were gifted or found. And guess what? It’s working.

Proof that you don’t need to overhaul your whole home to love it — or for it to support you. And by support, I mean manifest your future kind of support.

You can create your own abundance.

Open your eyes to all the beautiful ways you can work with what you already have. Move your pictures. Shift your mementos. Try your favorite chair in a different room. Make your home work for your life — not a life that isn’t yours.

Grab your running shoes and explore your own town.

I used to say our little town outside Austin was nearly perfect, but it lacked water to paddle in. Then one day, I took a new running path and found a creek big enough to paddle board in — literally right behind our neighborhood. Abundance.

It’s for everyone. And it’s everywhere.
The universe isn’t on a budget — ask for what you want.

The creek behind my neighborhood.

The corner called. We moved the desk and claimed the whole damn room.
